Andrea Sugar

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Andrea (She/Her) is a Boulder, CO based doula. She is also a Reiki practitioner and life coach with a background in community mental health, addiction studies and suicide research. Andrea also has extensive experience working with veterans who have returned from war zones.

Daniel Shaw

Death Doula/VDDN Co-Founder

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Daniel (He/Him) a death doula and yoga instructor based in Portland, OR. Daniel is an Army veteran and served in the Middle East. Among other contributions to the VDDN, Daniel acts as the group's webmaster.

Inti Hirt

Death Doula

Inti (she/her) is a death doula currently living in Minneapolis. Through her hospice experience she learned the importance of grief support not only for the person transitioning, but for their loved ones.

Emily Cross

Death Doula, VDDN Co-Founder

Emily (She/Her) is a death doula, currently in the United Kingdom. Emily Cross started her death doula practice in 2017 in order to serve and uphold the wishes of the dying.
